Welcome

Situated in the beautiful Wye Valley countryside in Staunton-on-Wye, Herefordshire, we have lived here at Lower House, a half-timbered farmhouse dating back to the 1700's, since 1985. Our intention was to renovate it and move on but almost 30 years on, and after falling in love with the house and the location, we are still here! It became our family home where we brought up our three children (plus numerous dogs, cats, horses, sheep and chickens) and where we have offered Bed & Breakfast since 1991.

In 2014 after 24 years of welcoming guests to our B&B, we decided to convert one of our barns into a delightful self-contained holiday let. It was hard work, but we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. We opened the doors to Lower House Barn in 2015 and hope that you and your friends or family will love it just as much as we do. We strive to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for all our guests and we are generally not too far away to help you when required. We look forward to meeting you.
